Style and Strength
Fashion writers and bloggers the world over are pouring over images of the recent runway shows. It is part work, part procrastination proclamation and pure entertainment for those of us who began reading Seventeen in grade school.
As I was looking at the images, I stopped at the runway photographs of the collection of Gilles Mendel for J. Mendel’s Spring/Summer 2013 Collection, held in New York this month.
Maybe it’s the mood I’m in these days, but I love the muted pastels; the hints of ladylike graces of times past; the fit and drapery (oh, the fit!); and the lack of obvious accessories. The dresses are the jewelry
