The Little White Dress

We’ve all heard of the importance of owning a “little black dress”, but during the summer months, “the little white dress” of fine cotton and airy weave is the dress to call your own. Our picks at all price points for a cotton dress that will take you through Labor Day. The white cotton dress will take you from work to play to school to drinks. And it doesn’t hurt that you’ll feel less overwhelmed by the heat and humidity. With fall and winter wardrobe, I tend to choose more expensive, well built pieces. Texture is important and the need for the items to last through years is also high on my list for cooler weather.

But when it comes to a summer wardrobe, cotton, in all its glorious breeziness tends to be less expensive and a quality, 100% cotton dress can be purchased anywhere – at any price – and it will be hard to tell the difference.

Pair with a great bright pair of sunglasses and pumps or sandals. Wicker wallet sized bags or colorful totes. It is the one piece that will marry itself with any accessory and will look good in the process.
